Krabi, Thailand Day 1

These coming posts will be about a trip to Krabi, Thailand in 2013. What can I say about Krabi? A great place, great people and suitable for families with children.I will try to remember the place we visited, the experiences but most importantly, let the photos speak for themselves. I believe few things have changed since it's already 2015.

Nice looking interior of the Hiace. Our transport from the airport to our hotel. We stayed at Ao Nang and not Krabi town because it's nearer to the beach and water activities!

We stayed at Haleeva Sunshine, Ao Nang. It takes a good 15 minutes walk to the beach area but this hotel provide good service and cheap. However, they don't provide lifts.

Yes, you can go around like that, but I recommend that you wear a helmet for safety reasons and to avoid trouble with the authorities.

 Efficient and fast!

Motorcycles are abundant. Affordable rental prices and it's the best method to move around Ao Nang.

There were tailors everywhere. Read online that the workmanship are good and cheap as well.

I ended day one with this! Khao Niaow Ma Muang. Love them to bits! Day 2 coming!

Lily at Tun Fuad Tower

Another late post, due to the extra workload that have been bugging me for the past few weeks. And I'm not teaching all this week because I was tied up with just concluded badminton tournament at SMK Datuk Peter Mojuntin and the current athletics training at Penampang Stadium.

Anyway, today's post is about a recent portraiture session held at Tun Fuad Tower at Yayasan Sabah and our talent this time was Lily. This time, I used both the 18-55 and the CCTV lens.

Indian Summer plugin in Nik. Love this lots!

With the decoration beads, she looked a bit like Pocahontas!

Anyway, I just came back from Natural Lighting workshop organised by Sony Malaysia which was held at Promenade. It's the only workshop, I think, that my Nex could match up with its bigger brothers where no flash would be used. It was great, and I won third place in a mini competition yay! Will blog about that. For now, I'm on the lookout for a used body to be my 'third' camera, either an A200, A100 or the KM7D. I do hope to get one by the end of this month tho. Why? Just say that I miss HSS...

Kay in Kebaya

Two weeks ago, my gangs and I had a portrait session with a new model, at least for me. She's Kay Marilyn from Penampang and from what I heard, she was once an Unduk Ngadau, or beauty queen. A very jovial person I must say which made the session such an enjoyable one.

Our place this time is Habiba Suites, which is located at Signal Hill in Kota Kinabalu. Located at a hill, this place offers marvelous views of sunset overlooking the city and even sunrise behind Mt. Kinabalu.

For this session, once again I used the CCTV lens for most of the photos and edited some of them to have the 'old photo' feel.

Habiba Suites.

A view of KK city.

Lucky for us, there's a classic Rover parked there. It is owned by the owner of Habiba Suites which suited the portrait theme.

Then, just before dawn, we went to the top of the building. The night view was nothing less than spectacular. It would be a great place to catch fireworks during Chinese New Year!
